Job Hunting

There are several sources of information for teaching positions. For Canadian universities there are two monthly publications which can be obtained at the University library: the bulletin entitled University Affairs/Affaires universitaires, issued by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (A.U.C.C.), and the Bulletin of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (C.A.U.T.). The former may be obtained free of charge from 151 Slater, Ottawa K1P 5H3. On a worldwide basis, the student may find the Times Educational Supplement, the New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education and the M.L.A. Job Information List useful.

Periodically the Department organizes a workshop for graduate students on how to prepare for an interview for an academic position.
