All students holding a first Teaching Assistantship in the Department are required to attend a series of workshops on teaching methods and the conducting of classes. These workshops constitute part of the TA contract, and thus generate remuneration at the contractual rate. Classroom inspections are carried out and feedback provided by experienced teachers in order to help TAs improve and refine their teaching. Pedagogical advice is also regularly available on request.
