The French Department seeks up to  Teaching Assistant for the following course:

FSL222H1F/S Intermediate French II 

This is the second of a two-course series intended for those who have some knowledge of French, this course is the first in a proficiency-sequenced series that provides students with the opportunity to become proficient, focused, autonomous French language learners. The course’s main objective is to provide a communicative learning environment through activities based in real-world, everyday contexts.

Minimum Qualifications

Full-time doctoral student. Teaching experience. Native(-like) fluency in spoken and written French.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of the use of Quercus, specifically test manager and communication tools.

Relevant Criterion

Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.

Duties

Preparation, contact hours, marking, conducting tutorials, attending coordinator’s meetings, meeting with course instructor.

Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located. Where the duties are intended to be performed at another location, such other location will be specified in the posting.

Final availability of the position(s) is contingent upon enrolment, budgetary consideration and the determination of appointments as governed by the collective agreement.

Tutorial Schedule

LEC5101: Tuesday, Thursday 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.

Hours of work: approx. 

75 hours

Estimated Course Enrolment:

50 students (25/TUT)

Rate of Pay:

SGS II - $51.93/hour (+ vacation pay)
