Biography
Dr. Meï-Lan Mamode holds a PhD in French Linguistics from the University of Toronto. Over the past decade, she has taught numerous French as a Second Language (FSL) and French linguistics courses at various levels. Her interest in FSL teaching began during her doctoral research, which investigated the role of cognitive training on the learning of French prosody in English-speaking learners. Since then, her teaching and research interests have focused on the teaching of pronunciation and the learning of prosody in the FSL classroom, as well as on the integration of evidence-based practices in second language teaching.
