David Birdsong is Professor in the Department of French and Italian at the University of Texas at Austin. His research relates to second language acquisition, bilingualism, psycholinguistics and French linguistics. He is particularly interested in the measurement and predictive power of dominance in bilingualism, and in the neurocognitive and experiential factors that influence ultimate attainment in a second language.
